Obama Vows Revenge

Jan 3, 2013

President Barack Obama closed out his campaign for re-election with a one-word threat that has proven ominous for the NRA and the nation's gun owners—a vow that clarifies what Obama had in store for Americans' freedom all along—"REVENGE."

His stunning, deeply held reveal came in a rare unscripted, off-prompter remark to cheering supporters in Springfield, Ohio, just days before his re-election when he said, "Voting is the best revenge."

Revenge? In all my years of observing and participating in national politics, I have never heard such a word used by anyone seeking a vote, let alone claiming to seek unity to solve vital national issues. Revenge. It is an ugly, divisive word that has no part in the democratic process of our republic.

But following the horrifying murders in Newtown, Conn., Obama unveiled the plans he denied during his campaign for re-election. That nightmare vision of government action against the Second Amendment is unfolding with the White House task force headed by Vice President Joe Biden and Attorney General Eric Holder. Dan Gross, head of the Brady Campaign is an active participant in what will be an unrelenting assault on the nation's gun owners, and directly on the National Rifle Association.

Want to know what Obama's revenge looks like? Look no farther than Chicago— where voters live in fear of revenge—of party-controlled government retribution. "Revenge" indeed defines the endemic system of corruption in the Chicago machine that spawned Obama as a politician. It defines the evils of what Chicago bosses proudly call the "Chicago way." Cross the machine; oppose the machine; pay a price.

For gun owners, the first installment in the Obama vendetta came just one day after the election, when the U.S. delegate to the United Nations voted to resuscitate the U.N. gun-ban treaty negotiations. Administration flacks and their media cheerleaders claim the U.N.'s reach won't touch our Second Amendment freedom. Don't believe it for a nano-second.

When it comes to erasing or eclipsing the Second Amendment, the gun-ban crowd always says the same thing: "It's a good first sensible step." No doubt they would be saying that if government agents ever came knocking on our doors using registration lists to collect our guns.

When President Obama pledged his support for new gun bans in Congress during his first term, he didn't have the votes because NRA—you and I—stood in firm opposition to any new gun controls.

But what if the shield of the NRA were destroyed or weakened?

That's what is behind the ugly media campaign against the 4 million people they arrogantly call the "gun lobby." But you and I know better than that. We are the freedom lobby and that's what we will fight ever harder to preserve!

That's the aim of a whole new White House-driven assault to destroy or weaken the NRA, so they can destroy the Second Amendment. Revenge.

To that end, NRA is being targeted by well-coordinated media attacks, originated and funded by extremists like globalist gun banner George Soros' Media Matters, which is also heavily endowed by billionaire domestic gun banner, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Last time I looked, Media Matters— which collaborates with the U.S. Department of Justice and gun-ban groups like The Brady Campaign and Violence Policy Center—has produced nearly 300 widely distributed articles attacking NRA. With the Connecticut tragedy, we are seeing an unprecedented media blitz against gun owners. It will continue to grow— orchestrated by the Obama White House.

Still operating out of Chicago, the Obama campaign now acts as a White House grassroots lobbying arm. This politically sophisticated operation has created massive, privacy-busting databases on tens of millions of Americans, all of whom will be mobilized against the NRA and you. Here's how The Washington Post gleefully described the White House-run operation: "If you voted this election season, President Obama almost certainly has a file on you. His vast campaign database includes information on voters' magazine subscriptions, car registrations, housing values and hunting licenses. … And although the election is over, Obama's database is just getting started."

In emails to Obama's awesome cyber army, Jim Messina, the former White House operative heading the Obama grass-roots political machine—"Obama for America"— expanded on that theme:

"Now that we've won, some folks might expect us to take a break—or worse, to fade away. That's not going to happen. … Our work didn't end on Election Day. … This movement will keep growing and evolving, and will play a big role in fighting for the causes we care about in President Obama's second term."

Causes they care about? Try gun control. Try destruction of the NRA. Try voiding the U.S. Constitution.

There is only one way to fight back. NRA must be stronger. We need you to renew your membership, upgrade and recruit new members. Every gun owner you know should be an NRA member. We need every single gun owner to join and stand tall with us to fight for the Second Amendment. We cannot let Obama achieve his revenge. If Obama wins, we lose.
